Salary £16,131 to £18,588 per annum

Kingdom deliver new affordable housing for rent, or for sale. Their role is to identify potential new build projects, establish the right housing mix, tenure and specification, and secure funding to pay for it all. They procure and appoint the Contractors and Consultants, they agree contracts, and they work in partnership with builders, architects, engineers and others to get the houses built.

In development they work with a number of different partners, including, the Scottish Government and Local Authorities, to prioritise the most needed projects and to secure the right level of grant to help pay the build cost.

It is challenging work and very rewarding, being part of a team to build much needed new homes that can be afforded by tenants and buyers who have limited housing options. To be successful in development, you need to be determined, you need to have very good communication skills, you need to drive a project forward to get the job done, you need to deal with the inevitable setbacks that come with any project, finding good solutions, and you need to work well within a team, contributing to the shared goals.

By the end of year 1 you will have achieved a Modern Apprenticeship Level 2 in Business Admin qualification, and by the end of year 3 you will have a Modern Apprenticeship level 3 equivalent qualification: e.g. HNC in Construction Management, Project Management or Business Management. They would review this towards the end of year 1 to suit your skill set, experience, needs and to suit the needs of the organisation.

The Year 2 & 3 certificate would be SCQF Level 7, recognised across the UK and would allow you to become an Associate Member of a relevant professional body such as Chartered Institute of Housing, Chartered Management Institute or Association of Project Managers.
