When: 11.00am - 3.00pm, Sunday 29 May 2016 Where: Auchmuty High School, Glenrothes
It is too late to book a place for this particular session, sorry about that.
Fife Festival of Music is into its stride with a three period a year structure. The 'B' period, May event, is now well established as one for younger instrumental musicians to play and make music together in a non-competitive atmosphere.
Previous years' events have included separate instrumental workshops for wind, brass, strings and percussion, jazz and traditional workshops and last year, the Fife Festival Orchestra.
It's the turn of Fiddle Day - traditional music experience for young musicians playing violin, viola or cello. This will introduce and encourage young players to learn about Scottish fiddle tunes. The day will be led by Ian Adamson with assistance from Paul Wickham and Davy Lees. The target is P7 to S3 players.
The event is organised by FFoM in partnership with Fife Council Instrumental Service, Fife Youth Music Activities Charitable Trust and Auchmuty High School. The Fife Festival shop will be open.
The cost is £5. Applications are required ahead of the event and entry forms are now available - from schools, Instrumental Instructors, Libraries etc. You can also access forms from the Festival website and further information can be obtained from e-mail: [email protected]
It's free! Tell us about your event, news, training, vacancy etc. by completing a short form and we'll add it to our e-bulletins and website - accessed by thousands of people every month.
