SAMH have secured funding for the next three years to work with their partners in three local areas (Fife, Edinburgh and North Ayrshire) on an innovative new intervention that will bolster existing physical activity provisions in these areas with mental health support to enable long-term physical activity behavioural change. They are recruiting for a Co-ordinator.
This is a unique and exciting opportunity for the right candidate to lead the co-ordination and implementation of partnership working, to champion the development of new peer support provisions and the local networks to support and sustain these. Ideally the successful candidate will have a knowledge and interest in the role of physical activity in addressing health and social problems as well as an awareness of the significance of mental health challenges and a positive attitude to change, development and partnership working.
Candidates can contact either Lynne Irons or Maurice Donohue for an informal conversation by telephone: 0141 414 2772.
