    GIS Operator part-time
    Short term, £93/day

A great opportunity for a person with Geographical Information Systems skills, who would like to contribute to a great National Orchard Inventory project. Its a short term contract, 11 days of work on a specific task. You don't have to be a top line expert, just relatively competent with MapInfo - they provide the system.

The National Orchard Inventory for Scotland project aims to complete an exhaustive survey of orchards across Scotland. This ambitious project will create an important historical snapshot of the location and condition of orchards throughout Scotland.

For a full description of the project please click here.

A GIS deskstudy was previously carried out, and now field verification is underway.

The national project works with local groups to carry the field verification surveys. Resources are provided by the national project. ORE requires a discrete package of GIS work to be carried out on our MapInfo Professional system, to create resources for local groups to use across the nation.
