Update from The One Stop Shop for Autism
Created: 27/05/2016 News/Events Category: General News
The One Stop Shop for Autism (OSS) are currently funded by the Scottish Government until the end of June 2016.
They have recently applied for grant funding from Fife’s Health and Social Care Partnership and are currently discussing their funding and what activities they can provide after June 2016. They are also reviewing the range of services that have been offered, this may result in some changes to what they are able to provide.
OSS plan to relocate to 16 East Fergus Place, Kirkcaldy, KY1 1XT however this building is currently being refurbished and won’t be available for them to move into until October 2016. The lease of their current building is due to expire at the end of June and to accommodate for their change of location and funding there will be a short transition phase.
This means that their service will close to the public from Thursday 23 June at 12.30pm. They will then be based in a temporary office in Kirkcaldy from July 2016 until the building they plan to move to permanently is ready in October 2016. During their time in the temporary premises they will have to provide a reduced service but will be able to respond to calls and emails. When the temporary premises has been confirmed they will send out an update with details of their new phone number. The OSS email address will remain the same and you will be able to contact a member of the team by emailing [email protected]
The OSS team are aware that although this may be welcome news to families who previously could not access them, this might come as a shock to those currently accessing services in Dunfermline. They will work with individuals and families to help with this transition and encourage anyone concerned about these changes to contact them as soon as possible to arrange an appointment to speak to a member of staff.
