    News/Events Category: Job Vacancies

    Post: Support Practitioners
    Location: Glenrothes
    Salary: £15,193 Pro Rata
Hours: One full time post (39 hours per week) or two part time posts, range of shifts up to 15 hours on a six week rolling rota
    Ref No: E-CFF-4SP2016

The Richmond Fellowship Scotland is a leading voluntary organisation, supporting people with a broad range of needs to live in their own homes, as part of their community. They are an organisation driven by strong values and a firm commitment to choice, dignity and social inclusion. Although they support over 2,800 people throughout Scotland, they are committed to delivering services that recognise people as individuals and treat them with dignity and respect; just like we would all want ourselves.

They are currently looking to increase their staff resource in Glenrothes and are looking for people who can help their supported individuals to achieve their own positive outcomes. They are therefore looking to recruit one new full time staff member or two part time staff members to join the team and if you are fit and healthy this could be the opportunity for you.

You will be part of a trained committed team, supporting individuals with a variety of needs. Some individuals have more complex needs and may have a physical or learning disability and require support with feeding and personal care as well as general household tasks, shopping and attending community activities. Supported individuals have very limited verbal communication and some can get anxious when introduced to new situations. Within the current team there is a good range of skills which means you won't be left to deal with things alone, and you will receive excellent training, including a VQ in social care.

This service is all about being flexible, so if you are looking for part time but can be flexible then this could still be the ideal service for you. It would be essential that you are able to drive as the people supported all have mobility cars. No care experience is necessary for these positions, but they are also seeking people who are looking to develop their career with an organisation committed to achieving outcomes for the people they support and for their staff.

This is an excellent opportunity to make a change in your life. The work can be challenging, but as well as a competitive salary, enhanced pension contributions and annual leave, childcare vouchers and discounts at over 850 online and high street retailers, they can offer you a rewarding and satisfying role in your local community.

The closing date for applications is Friday 15 July 2016.

To apply online please visit their website by clicking here. Short listing is planned for Monday 18 July 2016. PVG checks will be required of all successful applicants; having a conviction will not necessarily debar you from working in this sector.
