    Created: 29/06/2016
    News/Events Category: General News

Managing staff or working on the frontline as part of the caring workforce can be challenging, demanding and stressful. Mindfulness has been proven to be an effective way to reduce stress and improve wellbeing and mental resilience when dealing with the demands of a frontline job.

    About the workshop
This workshop is an introduction to mindfulness ideas and practice. Mindfulness is essentially experiential, so the day will be designed around discussing what mindfulness means and introducing you to practices such as mindful eating, sitting meditation and mindful movement. You will then be invited to share what you noticed during your experience of these practices.

Please note that this is an introduction to mindfulness and is not equivalent to taking part in a full mindfulness training course (normally four full days or eight weeks of two hour sessions).

    Who should attend?
The workshop is suitable for any staff who would like to have an introduction to mindfulness and experience its potential benefits.
