Home-Start Kirkcaldy seeks a Co-ordinator for 15 hours per week. They are a voluntary organisation committed to promoting the welfare of families with children under the age of 5. Volunteers offer regular support, friendship and practical help to families experiencing difficulties.
The Co-ordinator will hold a caseload of families and will be responsible for assisting in the recruitment, training and supporting of volunteers.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Parenting experience and an understanding of the needs of children and families (essential)
- A good understanding of child protection and working with vulnerable people (essential)
- Relevant work experience (essential)
- Experience of managing volunteers and delivering training (desirable)
- The ability to work on their own initiative in a challenging environment (essential)
- A full driving licence and access to their own transport (essential).
