When: 10.00am - 3.00pm, Tuesday 13 September 2016 Where: Scottish Trades Union Congress, 333 Woodlands Rd, Glasgow, G3 6NG This event is being organised by Scottish Employment Rights Network (SERN) and Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC)
It is too late to book a place for this particular session, sorry about that.
This year’s free conference follows the EHRC’s recent in-depth research that found that three out of four Scottish working mothers experience pregnancy and maternity discrimination. Hear from the EHRC about the research findings, the recommendations and the government’s response. Find out about examples of good practice, the support that is available and tools that the EHRC has co-developed to improve workplace practice.
Practical workshops will look in depth at the law on family friendly working and Shared Parental Leave; running a pregnancy and maternity case at Employment Tribunal; best practice for managing pregnancy and maternity in the workplace; and best practice to embed flexible working practices.
Please note that further information will follow in relation to choice of workshops shortly.
