    Post: Senior Support Workers
    Hours: 39 per week
    Salary: £20,016 (Unqualified), £20,549 (Qualified) Per Annum £9.86 per hour unqualified, £10.13 qualified


    Kingdom Housing Association provides accommodation and support to people experiencing homelessness in a hostel setting and provides outreach support to individuals in the community. They are looking to recruit enthusiastic and dedicated senior support workers to join this service.

    As a senior support worker, you will be expected to have experience of dealing with challenging behaviour and engaging with those who are difficult to engage with. You will have knowledge of housing legislation, law and welfare benefits and will be required to work in partnership with a multidisciplinary team. You will be responsible for managing the workload, shift pattern, mentoring and supervising staff to support their personal development. You will undertake full key-working responsibilities; take referrals, identify move on routes, develop outcome focused support plans to achieve positive journeys and review progress regularly.

    Applicants for the Senior Support Worker Posts must have a minimum of 12 months experience working within the homeless sector; hold an SVQ 2 qualification in Care or a related field in line with the SSSC registration criteria. A current driving licence and the use of a car for work purposes are essential.

    In addition to this, successful candidates will be required to register with the SSSC and complete SVQ 3 within two years of starting employment and a Professional Development Award (PDA) in supervision. Please note; you must hold an SVQ3 in Care or a related field to meet the qualified point on the salary scale.
