The Richmond Fellowship Scotland is a leading voluntary organisation, supporting people with a broad range of needs, including mental health difficulties, learning disabilities, dementia or autism, behaviour deemed as challenging. They also provide support to individuals who have had contact with the Criminal Justice System, who will require intensive support to successfully live in their own homes as part of the community. They are an organisation driven by strong values and a firm commitment to choice, dignity and social inclusion. Although they support over 2,800 people throughout Scotland, they are committed to delivering services that recognise people as individuals.
They are looking for an individual, with a proven track record of assessing SVQ Social Services and Healthcare awards at levels 2 and 3, to join the East Region Learning and Development team based in the Glenrothes office. The region includes Fife, Stirling and Clackmannanshire, City of Edinburgh, the Lothians and Scottish Borders. The job will require the post holder to work across the entire region so access to your own transport is essential. The post requires SVQ 3 in care, or equivalent, and an SVQ assessor's award.
Applicants must hold these qualifications.
A sound value base is essential, as is the belief in a person-centred approach to supporting people. You will have knowledge and experience of the SVQ process and of assessing learning needs and be able to work as part of a team and under pressure.
The closing date for applications is Friday 05 August 2016 and interviews will be held on Thursday 25 August 2016.
