The Big Lottery Fund are keen to share examples of best practice case studies to support organisations thinking about applying. Having recently launched their 'Community Assets Fund', Fife's very own Ecology Centre is the fantastic example of a community asset project they have shared as best practice.

In July 2014 the Ecology Centre were awarded £920,849, meaning that they could build a new sustainable building on a five hectare site which had been purchased through the Scottish Land Fund.
