Senior Support Worker
Hours: 39 hours per week
Salary: £20,016 (Unqualified), £20,549 (Qualified) Per Annum £9.86 per hour unqualified, £10.13 qualified
Would you like to assist vulnerable adults to live an independent life? Kingdom provides support services to individuals who have been diagnosed with a learning disability, autism and/or challenging behaviour in the Falkirk Area.
They are currently recruiting for a Senior Support Worker to oversee support packages and assist the co-ordinator in the management of the service. This service will require the use of CALM theory and physical intervention techniques. This service involves shift work including sleepovers and would require you to be flexible with your working hours. A minimum of two years' experience in a support and care setting is essential.
Candidates must also hold an SVQ 2 qualification in Care or a related field in line with the SSSC registration criteria. In addition to this, successful candidates will be required to complete SVQ 3 within 2 years of starting employment and a Professional Development Award (PDA) in supervision. Please note, you must hold an SVQ3 in Care or a related field to meet the qualified point on the salary scale.
You need to be registered as a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme for the purpose of regulated work with protected adults and children. The cost of membership (whether a new or existing member) is borne by you. If you are not already a member the cost will be £59, for existing members this will be £18. A current driving licence and the use of a car for work purposes are essential.
