This one day course was previously entitled "Complex Trauma" and is facilitated by Fife Rape and Sexual Assault Centre (FRASAC). The course is aimed at anyone who has previously completed either the Basic Awareness - Understanding Rape and Sexual Assault or See Me Not My Mask (facilitated by KASP) training.
On successful completion of this course participants will be able:
To develop a deeper understanding of trauma that has become embedded and complex
To consider what the term 'complex trauma' means
To examine how it can present and what the symptoms are
To look at the potential benefits of using psycho-education learning outcomes
To have a deeper understanding of complex trauma
To have a greater insight into how it can impact on individuals, how it might present and the difficulties it can cause
To have an awareness and basic understanding of psycho-education and how is can help de-mystify the symptoms of trauma and put proper emphasis on the individuals innate resourcefulness
