  • Greener Kirkcaldy - Smart Cooking (8 week course)

    Created: 24/04/2018

    When: 10.00am-12.00pm, Thursday 03 May 2018
    Where: Linktown Church, Nicol Street, Kirkcaldy, KY1 1TJ
    This event is being organised by Greener Kirkcaldy

    It is too late to book a place for this particular session, sorry about that.

    Smart Cooking is Greener Kirkcaldy's basic cooking skills and household budgeting programme. It's run over 8 weeks at various locations in Kirkcaldy and other local areas. Anyone can come along especially if you are a beginner cook or would like to develop your skills and confidence in food. The classes are small, friendly and fun. You don't need to bring anything, they'll supply everything and you'll get food to take home.

    They'll include sessions on:

    • Food, shopping, and meal planning;
    • Food storage and using leftovers;
    • Managing household bills and budgets with Citizens Advice and Rights Fife;
    • Energy saving in the kitchen and home with Cosy Kingdom.

    Fife Council Community Food Team will be offering their experiences and helping them deliver some of their programmes. They'll be running more programmes on a regular basis - contact them to find out if there is one happening near you. If you are part of a group or organisation in Kirkcaldy, they'd be happy to run a course for you.
