    News/Events Category: Community Events

    When: 10.30am-12.30pm, Saturday 22 September 2018

This event is being organised by Greener Kirkcaldy

It is too late to book a place for this particular session, sorry about that.

Greener Kirkcaldy's first Wild Walk of the season is usually one of their most popular - the annual Fungi Foray! They'll take a wander through Dunnikier Woods discovering the toadstools, mushrooms, bracket fungi and slime-moulds that live there. Discover the important role these organisms play in the ecology of the woods, hear about the folklore surrounding them and, who knows, you might find an edible species or two. This event is open to all ages. The walk will go over some uneven ground and may be difficult to access in parts. Please contact them for more information.

The event is free but booking is required as spaces are limited. To book your place please click here.
