It is too late to book a place for this particular session, sorry about that.

You are invited to the premiere of Fife's new Be That Person film, a short film which celebrates positive experiences of young people in Fife and promotes the five ways approach to better wellbeing.

The 15 minute film was developed through collaboration between young people, community youth groups, staff from across Fife Council's Education and Children's Services directorate, third sector agencies and adults who are making a difference in young people’s lives and “being that person”!

Over the past few years people have become more familiar with the language of childhood trauma and Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and whilst this awareness is vital in developing our understanding, in Fife we are looking at taking the next steps to support the emotional wellbeing of the children and young people we work with more universally. Our Minds Matter wanted to highlight the power of relationships and what we can actually do in a very practical sense, individually and together, to help to break the cycle of adversity and reduce the impact of ACEs.

Young people in the film share their positive experiences and link them with the five ways approach - Keep Connected, Be Active, Take Notice, Learn and Give. They explain how connecting, learning, taking notice, being active and giving have helped to develop their resilience. Alongside these personal stories you will see some interesting examples of groups and programmes from across Fife which support emotional wellbeing. The stories of hope aim to encourage and inspire every one of us to “Be That Person”.

They look forward to viewing the film alongside those featured in the film and the people who have been involved in bringing it together. Attendees will take time together to reflect on the aims behind creating the film and how the film will be publicised and used in the future.
