There is also a new animation that explains in general terms how the new inspections will be conducted, click here to view this animation.
Inspections using the new standards are being rolled out and commenced in July with care services for older people. A quality framework for this has been published and can be found by clicking here. Frameworks for other types of services are expected to be similar. The framework is also expected to be used by service providers as a tool for self-evaluation.
Finally, the SSSC has introduced a new badge scheme for the social care workforce to demonstrate its knowledge and understanding of the new standards. This can be seen by clicking here.
