This event is being organised by balletLORENT
It is too late to book a place for this particular session, sorry about that.Multi-award-winning dance company balletLORENT is looking for five older people to take part in its latest fairytale show, Rumpelstiltskin.
You will be part of a cast involving all ages, selected during a free, informal workshop run by balletLORENT dancers.
Requirements
- No previous dance or performance experience necessary
- An experience of wool winding and knitting preferable
- The ability to walk unaided for approx. 20 feet is necessary
The workshop will involve:
- Introduction to the project, including a short film
- Seated warm up to music
- Session based on scenes from Rumpelstiltskin, arm-knitting, wool-winding
- Creating rhythms of movement with wool and raffia in small groups
- Opportunity to try on costumes and discuss the dates of the project.
