National Services Scotland - Healthcare Catering Strategy Patient Forum Event
Created: 08/10/2018, Updated: 10/10/2018The National Catering Strategy is a key national programme that has been endorsed by NHS Scotland Chief Executives, which sets out to achieve a nationally consistent and effective approach to delivering a high quality food service to patients.
Health Facilities Scotland are hosting this event with the aim to strengthen the level of engagement with patients and patient representatives in the development and implementation of the strategy and to provide information about the general approaches and changes in service delivery.
It will also provide an opportunity to hear from patients on their views and experiences of hospital food, and on the likely impact of the strategy on the services that patients receive. They will also be discussing how they currently collect patient feedback and how they can encourage greater engagement in the delivery of catering services in the future, and they would like your views on these plans.
They are seeking involvement from patient representatives from a wide range of patient groups across Scotland, from local patient involvement networks, national support groups and other patient stakeholders. This event is free of charge. Lunch will be provided.
Places are very limited on a first come basis, so please let them know if you would like to attend as soon as possible to ensure a space at the event, by contacting Abigail Cork on [email protected] by Wednesday 24 October 2018.
Please let them have your name, contact details including e-mail address, the group you represent (if appropriate), and any requirements such as access, communication, or dietary needs for attending the event.
