Fife Employability Forum - Slides and Notes
Created: 08/11/2013FVA held the first Fife Employability Forum on Monday 04 November. It was attended by over 40 people and, while we are still gathering feedback on the evaluations, we think it is safe to say it was a great success. So much so, in fact, that we have booked the next event already: Wednesday 29th January 2014, Rothes Halls.
At the event FVA launched our report Working for Fife: A Survey of Third Sector Employability Services in Fife, 2013. We also heard presentations from Fife Council on ESF and Fairer Scotland Funding. Sadly the Council are not ready to launch their FSF commissioning guidelines just yet but we have been promised that they will let us know as soon as they are ready and we will put them out through this e-bulletin. Copies of all the presentations can be found below.
We also heard from Phil Martin at DWP on the new Community Work Placement model and commissioning competition. To find out more about this visit http://www.fva.org/news/item4040.asp
Break out discussions focussed on identifying the three key actions that would improve employment outcomes for the people of Fife. A note of the key recommendations can be downloaded below.
