Latest Health and Social Care Report
Created: 02/12/2014The Health and Social Care Forum met on Thursday 6 November 2014. Attendance at the Forum remains consistently high and varied with 27 people representing 23 organisations at this Forum.
The Forum welcomed Heather Ford and Fiona McKenzie, Change Managers for Health and Social Care Integration, who consulted on the Fife Localities Consultation. The consultation officially ran from 11 August to 3 November 2014 but was extended to accommodate the date of this Forum.
Members of the Forum heard about the four proposed Locality options for Fife, the evidence behind these options, including population distribution of over 65’s and GP registrations within each locality, and the planning principles underpinning the locality consultation process. These localities are significant as they will form the building blocks of how Fife will structure itself to deliver integrated services.
Other updates at the Forum include Fife’s Joint Strategic Plan and the latest Partnership Management Group (PMG) meeting.
Next month’s Forum on Thursday 4 December 10.00am - 12 noon at Fife Voluntary Action’s Glenrothes Office will discuss the new Self-Directed Support Fund for Scotland, updates on the Integration and will include round table discussions.
Please see below a note and feedback from the Forum, and Heather and Fiona’s Fife Localities Consultation presentation.
