The aim of this training is to increase participants' knowledge and understanding of the health needs of adults with learning disabilities and to explore the key role that staff have in supporting adults with learning disabilities to make healthy lifestyle choices.
Successful completion of this course will:
Provide an increased awareness of health needs for adults with learning disabilities
Identify factors which influence health
Explore the role that staff have in promoting healthy lifestyle choices for adults with learning disabilities
This training would suit those from the public or voluntary sector and carers who are supporting adults with learning disabilities and who can have a direct influence on the health and wellbeing of adults with a learning disability.
