Voluntary Health Scotland - Community Link Worker Study - Deadline extended to 31 October 2016
Created: 21/09/2016, Updated: 17/10/2016Voluntary Health Scotland's scoping exercise on Community Link Workers has generated such interest that they have now extended the deadline for responses to Monday 31 October 2016
Voluntary Health Scotland have been commissioned by the Scottish Government to identify the number and range of Community Link Worker initiatives with third sector involvement across Scotland, to help inform their future plans to create an additional 250 Community Link Workers.
This comes from the SNP’s 2016 election manifesto pledge: ‘Scotland’s most deprived communities need additional support, so we will recruit at least 250 Community Link Workers to work in GP surgeries and direct people to local services and support’.
