    News/Events Category: General News

    Voluntary Health Scotland's scoping exercise on Community Link Workers has generated such interest that they have now extended the deadline for responses to Monday 31 October 2016

    Voluntary Health Scotland have been commissioned by the Scottish Government to identify the number and range of Community Link Worker initiatives with third sector involvement across Scotland, to help inform their future plans to create an additional 250 Community Link Workers.

    This comes from the SNP’s 2016 election manifesto pledge: ‘Scotland’s most deprived communities need additional support, so we will recruit at least 250 Community Link Workers to work in GP surgeries and direct people to local services and support’.

    You should complete this survey if:

    • You are a third sector organisation;
    • You are involved in one or more Community Link Worker initiatives.

    Once you access the Survey Monkey you will see a fuller explanation of what they mean by ‘Community Link Worker’ and what the survey involves.

    You can access the survey by clicking here.

    Please complete the survey by Monday 31 October 2016.
