Survey - Transitions for young people with additional support needs
Created: 27/09/2016 News/Events Category: General News
ARC Scotland and the Scottish Transitions Forum are seeking the views of young people and their parents and carers for an important national piece of work.
The Scottish Government has commissioned ARC Scotland to map the availability of planning and support for people aged 14 and 25 years who have additional support needs in Scotland.
A central part of the work is to ask young people and their parents/carers about their experiences during this important time of their lives. To do this, they have developed two surveys, one for young people and the other for parents and carers.
The surveys should take between 10 – 30 minutes and must be completed by Friday 11 November 2016. Participants won't be asked their name or address, and nobody will be able to identify them as the person who filled out the survey.
The findings will be published in early 2017. This will help the Scottish Government, local authorities and other organisations make decisions about how support can be improved for people with additional needs that are in ‘transition’ to young adult life.
It is fine for participants to ask someone to help them fill out this survey.
