If you’re involved with managing volunteers within your organisation make sure to sign-up to one or all of our courses. These courses are designed to ensure you are equipped with the best tools and knowledge to recruit and manage volunteers within your organisation so don’t miss out on this great opportunity. These courses are ideal if you're new to the role, but are also a great way to refresh and review your practice. The courses often fill up, so make sure you sign up today!
Course 1 – Volunteer involvement, getting started on Tuesday 18 October 2016 looks how to plan for recruiting volunteers, either for the first time or as part of expansion to existing services.
Course 2 – Effective volunteer recruitment on Thursday 03 November 2016 will give you the tools and info you need to start recruiting volunteers for your organisation, including some useful tips and tricks.
Course 3 – Supporting your Volunteers on Monday 14 November 2016 aims to help participants develop their ideas, skills and strategies regarding offering support to volunteers.
Course 4 – Fair and equal volunteering on Tuesday 29 November 2016 will enable you and your organisation to feel more confident in understanding the difference between equality and diversity. This can then enable your organisation to recruit a diverse group of volunteers who can potentially bring along a vast amount of varied skills and knowledge.
Course 5 – Introduction to managing risk in your volunteer programme on Wednesday 07 December 2016 will support your organisation by ensuring you have the tools and the knowledge to ensure you manage risk effectively.
