WEA Scotland - Writing for Wellbeing Course
Created: 19/10/2016Creative writing has been proven to be a powerful medium for self-expression. With this newly established weekly class, WEA Scotland would like to offer adult learners the opportunity to develop their creative writing skills, whilst also improving their mental wellbeing and developing their emotional insight.
The course will run from Wednesday 26 October to Wednesday 30 November 2016.
The tutor, a published poet, novelist and storyteller and an experienced creative writing tutor will support you to draw on your own experiences, exploring the different ways writing can be used to express your own thoughts, feelings and desires. The writing itself may take the form of poetry, fiction, memoir, drama or creative non-fiction. The classes are suitable for anyone with a personal interest in any of these fields whatever their background or level of experience in writing.
This opportunity is open to all adult learners aged 16+ regardless of why they write, what they write or their level of experience of writing.
