    Aims

    This introductory one day course will provide a practical opportunity for participants to work through the process of evaluation and explore a range of approaches and methods that can be used to plan and carry out an evaluation.

    Outcomes

    On completion of this course, participants will have:

    • Demystified the terminology used in evaluation;
    • Explored the different stages of the evaluation process using simple and structured group activities;
    • An improved understanding of some of the methods that can be used for evaluation purposes; and 
    • Worked through a number of exercises to support local evaluation including participatory appraisal methods.

    The course would suit anyone who would like to develop their skills and knowledge in monitoring and evaluation.
