  • Al Maktoum Community Grants Programme

    Created: 09/12/2016
    News/Events Category: Funding and Finance

    Al Maktoum Community College and Foundation Scotland have worked together since 2009 to support the communities in and around Dundee and Fife. Since then the fund has distributed nearly £100,000 through its express grants programme.

    Registered charities and constituted community groups based in Dundee, Angus, Perth and Kinross or North East Fife (Cupar and St Andrews) may apply for funding for projects that address at least one of the following priority areas:

    • Learning and education;
    • Multiculturalism, interfaith and cultural engagement;
    • Youth development;
    • Opportunities for those with physical or learning disabilities;
    • Helping people overcome challenges in the face of adversity;
    • Local groups at grass roots level that enrich the community;

    Where demand exceeds available funds, priority will be given to projects in Dundee.

    Grants of between £250 and £2,000 are available. The total cost of the project must not exceed £8,000.

    The deadline for applications is at 12 o'clock on Friday 03 February 2017.
