    Role: Support Workers 
    Hours: 30 hour posts 
    Salary £16,731 (Unqualified), £17,157 (Qualified) Pro Rata

    Would you like to assist vulnerable adults to live an independent life?

    They want to speak to you if you have:

    • A motivated and flexible approach to work (which will include lone working, shifts, split shifts, sleep in duties and where necessary waking night cover);
    • Sound values and attitudes;
    • The ability to work with people in a positive and supportive manner;
    • A willingness to gain a relevant SVQ II qualification is essential; and
    • If you have previous experience of working with vulnerable adults, this would be desirable.

    You will be part of a staff team providing support and care to service users in accordance with their aims, objectives, ethos and mission statement.  You will play a key role in promoting social inclusion, maximising independence and choice for their service users.

    Training in CALM theory and physical intervention techniques where this is a requirement will be provided. A current full UK driving licence and the use of a car for work is essential in East and Central Fife services.

    Support Workers (Bank Staff) - Fife Wide

    You will provide as required cover in any of their services. There are bank staff vacancies for both drivers and non-drivers. Previous experience of providing care (not necessarily in a work setting) is desirable.

    They will provide you with training towards an SVQ in Social Care unless already obtained. They have an attractive benefits package including a contributory pension scheme and 37 days paid annual leave pro rata. You will be placed at the unqualified rate unless you have achieved the relevant qualification as determined by the Scottish Social Services Council. You need be registered as a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme for the purpose of regulated work with protected adults and children. The cost of membership (whether a new or existing member) is borne by you.

    If you are not already a member for the purpose of regulated work with protected adults and children the cost will be £59, for existing members this will be £18.
