Community Jobs Scotland (CJS) is a Scottish Government funded programme which offers an exciting introduction to the third sector by creating a wide range of jobs for young people, aged 16 to 29, with a focus on:
All jobs created must offer at least 25 hours of work per week, be paid at £5.60 per hour or the NMW rate (appropriate to age), and last for at least 52 weeks.
Organisations that have not been involved in CJS before should register online by Friday 19 May to create and submit each of the opportunities they wish to be considered for.
Existing employers should login to the CJS salesforce portal to enter each of the opportunities they wish to have considered.
The CJS Employer helpline is available Monday–Friday, from 9am–5pm on 0141 559 5026.
Now into its seventh year, the CJS programme has created more than 7,500 jobs in Scottish charities, voluntary organisations and social enterprises.
