  • Third sector infrastructure: Scottish Government Review

    Created: 14/05/2017, Updated: 25/05/2017
    News/Events Category: FVA News

The Scottish Government funds more than 60 third sector infrastructure organisations in Scotland and is undertaking a review of these organisations and the support they provide.

FVA is known as a 'Third Sector Interface' or TSI, and is one of those 60+ organisations.  There are 31 other TSIs (one in each local authority area in Scotland) and over 30 national infrastructure organisations, including organisations like SCVO, DTAS, Volunteer Scotland and so on.  All of these organisations are independent (including FVA!) and must report to the government on performance and impact.

The government commissioned a review of the TSIs in Scotland, and Voluntary Action Scotland, the membership body for TSIs.  You can read a summary of the review here: www.fva.org/downloads/TSIreviewSummary2017.pdf or read the full report here: www.fva.org/downloads/SGreviewTSIVAS2016.pdf
