    Fife Cultural Trust is an ambitious charity; its vision is for Fife to be a culturally vibrant and rewarding place to live, work, study and visit. The position of Commercial and Business Development Manager will work within the context of both Fife Cultural Trust and its trading subsidiary; Fife Cultural Services Trading Limited to help develop and implement the commercial and business strategy that will support the organisation to continue to realise its vision.

    They are looking for a creative and commercially minded leader who has the experience and knowledge to analyse their assets with a view to identifying new opportunities for commercial growth and enterprise across the organisation. The right person will champion and lead commercial change and innovation across Fife Cultural Trust; working with colleagues to enhance visitor experience and maximise their potential to generate revenue.

    The post holder is required to hold a degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline (e.g. Business, Hospitality, Retail Management, Tourism and Marketing).

    Responsibilities:

    • Responsible for developing and driving innovation and commercial enterprise across the organisation, to maximise income generation for Fife Cultural Trust whilst enhancing visitor experience and service.
    • Ensure that Fife Cultural Trust is a well connected organisation in relation to both commercial and tourist development.
    • Through these networks build reputation and raise awareness of their offering to visitors, and in doing so expand their customer base and increase visitor numbers to venues.

    The Individual Fife Cultural Trust are seeking a highly skilled and knowledgeable individual who has strong experience in a relevant setting. The right candidate will be someone who can realise commercial potential, is an experienced negotiator and has the ability to take an idea from concept to reality, achieving set goals and objectives in relation to income generation. They will be a strong leader who is skilled at working collaboratively to achieve outcomes and for whom coaching is a key driver in success, enabling and being enabled by others.
