    Post: Senior Support Worker (Female)
    Hours: 39 per week
    Salary: £20,501 (Unqualified), £21,047 (Qualified)

Would you like to assist vulnerable adults to live an independent life? Kingdom provides support services to individuals who have disabilities, mental health issues, autism and challenging behaviour across Fife and Falkirk. They are currently recruiting for a senior support worker to oversee support packages in the Dunfermline and West Fife area.

You will assist the coordinator in the management of the service and you will line manage a team of support workers. You will help to provide a 24 hour service to supported individuals with learning disabilities, autism and challenging behaviour. You will have a positive person centred approach, and be passionate about helping people to have fulfilling lives. You will be required to support people to develop new skills and attend activities they enjoy.

This service involves shift work including sleepovers and would require you to be flexible with your working hours. A current driving licence and the use of a car for work purposes are essential. A minimum of two years' experience in a support and care setting is essential. Candidates must also hold an SVQ 2 qualification in Care or a related field in line with the SSSC registration criteria.

In addition to this, successful candidates will be required to register with the SSSC and complete SVQ 3 within two years of starting employment and a Professional Development Award (PDA) in supervision. This post has an occupational requirement under the Equality Act 2010 which restricts applications from females only due to supported individuals needs.

You will be required to register with the Scottish Social Services Council, and a member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme.

Further information and application packs are available from their website.  Alternatively, you can contact them by either telephone 01383 741220 or by e-mail [email protected]. Please quote vacancy number 453.

The closing date for applications is 12 noon Friday on 16 June 2017 and interviews will be held on Thursday 29 June 2017 in their Support and Care office in Dunfermline.
