    Role: Trainee Support Worker

    Hours: 25 per week

    Salary: national minimum wage

    An excellent opportunity has arisen for two people to join the Fife team based in Lochgelly at DEAP Ltd as a Trainee Support Worker.

    The purpose of the role will be to assist the Job Brokerage team and the Employability Project worker in working with a diverse range of clients, providing a portfolio of services designed to build confidence and employability skills and allow clients to progress to becoming more economically active within the local community. The role will involve working with a range of partner organisations, to sign-post clients towards relevant additional local support services and Community Outreach.

    The successful applicant will have:

    • Excellent people skills and the ability to work with a wide range of clients
    • Excellent communication skills with a good level of basic literacy and numeracy
    • Excellent IT skills and the ability to use a range of Microsoft packages
    • Up to date knowledge of data protection and confidentiality of information
    • A professional approach and an understanding of the importance of providing the right business image
    • A willingness to learn on the job
    • Driving licence desirable but not essential

    Applicants must be eligible for Community Jobs Scotland posts.
