Spirit of 2012 - Sporting Equality Fund (New Fund)

Up to £25,000 is now available for projects that target women and girls who are currently not participating in physical activity, and want to become more active.

Funding is available to increase the number of women and girls in Scotland who participate in sport and physical activity. Projects should meet the following outcomes: more women and girls participate in sport and physical activity; people’s personal wellbeing increases through participation; the inactive are encouraged and enabled to be more active; the inactive are encouraged and enabled to stay active throughout life. Preference will be for applications from women’s community-based organisations in partnership with a local or national sports-based organisation (including dance or other association whose primary purpose is to encourage physical activity). They will support at least one project that is focused on supporting women and girls from a BAME background. The deadline is 15 September 2017.
