    Firstport - Social Innovation Competition

The Social Innovation Competition will celebrate and support individuals and start up enterprises in Scotland that are using their creativity and imagination to solve pressing social issues, focusing on culture, heritage and tourism. Your idea needs to offer new solutions to a social need, or address a need more effectively than existing solutions. Ideas should lead to a better use of assets (for example community groups as well as physical assets such as buildings) and resources, as well as new relationships amongst sectors and society. You can use the prize money to help pay for some of the start up costs including: legal fees; intellectual property or trademark applications; rent; website, branding, logo design; marketing materials; stationery; insurances. The deadline for applications is 09 October 2017.
