    Job title: Project worker
    Salary: £9 per hour
    Hours: 12 per week, (Friday and Saturday), on a self-employed basis

    The task of the project worker is to support Charlie's Green Angels climate change project, waste strand. Activities will include working with staff, volunteers, children, young people and their families. The role will include working in an outdoors environment. The role will include delivering workshops based around the 3 areas of waste reduction; food, clothing and furniture and also will include the development of a zero waste café facility.

    A pleasant and supportive manner and team working is vital. Experience of community café work is an advantage.

    Main Duties are:

    • to support the community in reducing food waste;
    • to support the community in reducing furniture and clothing waste by repairing, reusing, swapping, upcycling and borrowing;
    • to share information with staff, volunteers and young people;
    • to deliver activities as required;
    • to support the wider community's participation in activities and experiences;
    • to liaise with partners as required;
    • to monitor, record and evaluate the project as required;
    • to deal with enquiries as required;
    • to work within the policies and procedures of MCCI;
    • to work hours as required.
