It is too late to book a place for this particular session, sorry about that.

Option 2 of Self- directed Support (SDS) is proving particularly challenging to make a reality. Practical cross- organisational difficulties around contracting; risk sharing; costing; reporting and ensuring a diverse market of care and support are common. Following a CCPS event in early 2017 they will use the same approach to bring together a group of people to work through the challenges associated with Option 2 in practice.

The purpose of Option 2 of SDS is to enable individuals to have choice of their support provider and greater control over their support. But traditional ways of contracting for support through competitive tenders and restrictive frameworks are restricting choice.

Come along to think through how to work to promote choice under Option 2, create flexible and risk enabling contracts and support market diversity to enable real choice for supported people.

    Following this event participants will:

    • Have an understanding of the Agile method and how it can be applied to solving the problems around Option 2.
    • Have an understanding of the key issues, and emerging solutions to Option 2 problems.
    • Have an understanding of the time/attendance committment required for the full programme (6 sessions)

This event is free and fully funded by the Scottish Government. They are seeking a mixed group of providers, commissioners, procurement staff and others who are working on Option 2 are keen to solve problems not repeat them!

    Book now by clicking here

Following the 21st we will invite application for people interested in working together over six sessions to resolve the issues around Option 2.
