Created: 05/10/2017Post: Sessional Worker
Hours: Flexible and by negotiation
Salary: £8.45 per hour
The Richmond Fellowship Scotland is a leading voluntary organisation, supporting people with a broad range of needs to live in their own homes, as part of their community. They are an organisation driven by strong values and a firm commitment to choice, dignity and social inclusion.
They are currently looking to increase our staff resource in the Glenrothes, Levenmouth and North East Fife areas and are looking for people who can help their supported individuals to achieve their own positive outcomes. There are a number of people with complex needs in the service, some with limited verbal communication. You will join an experienced team full of enthusiastic staff that will mentor you, provide support and guidance and you will also receive excellent training. Sessional staff work alongside a staff team to provide cover for absence, annual leave, vacancies and other staff shortages. Hours worked are flexible and by negotiation, so you can chose to work when and how much you want.
They work with people with a wide variety of support needs, including mental health issues and physical disabilities. There will be something that will suit everyone. The work includes general care and support as well as supporting people to lead active and healthy lifestyles. It is essential that you have a full driving licence and access to a car for this role. Sessional staff benefit from the training, good conditions of service and being valued employees that all staff with TRFS enjoy including TRFS rewards giving savings in over 850 online and high street retailers. PVG checks will be required of all successful applicants; having a conviction will not necessarily debar you from working in this sector. With effect from 2 October 2017, all new staff members will be required to register with the SSSC within 6 months of their start date.
