    Created: 06/12/2017
    News/Events Category: Job Vacancies

    Post: Support Practitioner (Waking Nightshift)
    Location: Glenrothes and Kennoway
    Hours: Full-time - 39 hours per week
    Salary: £17,137 per annum

The Richmond Fellowship Scotland is a leading voluntary organisation, supporting people with a broad range of needs to live in their own homes, as part of their community. They are an organisation driven by strong values and a firm commitment to choice, dignity and social inclusion. Although they support over 2800 people throughout Scotland, they are committed to delivering services that recognise people as individuals and treat them with dignity and respect; just like we would all want ourselves.

The Richmond Fellowship Scotland are currently looking to increase their staff resource in the Glenrothes and Kennoway areas and are looking for people who can help our supported individuals to achieve their own positive outcomes. They are therefore looking to recruit new staff members to join those teams. If you`re fit and healthy with a wide range of personal interests and activities this could be the opportunity for you. You will be part of a committed team, supporting individuals with a variety of complex needs, some of whom also have physical and/or learning disabilities. All of the people supported need support with some aspects of their life such as paying bills and general household tasks, but it can also involve support with personal care and hygiene.  It would be desirable that you have a driving licence however this is not essential.

No care experience is necessary for these positions, but we are also seeking people who have previously worked in this type of service and who are looking to develop their career with an organisation committed to achieving outcomes for the people we support and for our staff. People with skills in supporting those with autism and learning disabilities will find these great services to be part of.

For more information and to apply please visit their website and enter reference number 788. PVG checks will be required of all successful applicants; having a conviction will not necessarily debar you from working in this sector.

With effect from 02 October 2017, all new staff members will be required to register with the SSSC within 6 months of their start date. The Richmond Fellowship Scotland is an Equal Opportunity Employer Charity No: SC021621

The closing date for applications are Friday 15 December 2017.
