  • Fife Festival of Music 2018

    Created: 15/01/2018

Session ‘A’ of the 38th Fife Festival of Music 2018 gets underway on Tuesday 30 January in Carnegie Hall, Dunfermline and will continue until Friday 09 February with sessions taking place in Dunfermline, Kirkcaldy and Cupar.

The events organised for the ‘A’ period follow the more traditional format of competitive and non-competitive classes for singers and instrumentalists, embracing a wide range of music-making, from clarsach to choirs, Scots songs to opera, strings, brass, percussion woodwind and anything else in between!

Participation in the event is of prime importance to its success and its future. Nowadays, more emphasis is placed on the health and well-being opportunities afforded by participation in musical activity and thus all participants and visitors are welcome.

Prospective audience members are advised that there is an entrance fee of £3.00 per session (morning, afternoon or evening) payable at each venue, with a £5.00 charge applicable for the evening adult choir classes (02 & 05 February), the community music-making on 07 February and the final Young Musician of the Year 2018 on Friday 09 February.
