Volunteer Managers‘ Forum, Glenrothes
Created: 02/02/2018, Updated: 21/03/2018Our Volunteer Managers' Forums are open to anyone who works in Fife and who is involved in the recruitment and/or management/supervision of volunteers.
Volunteer Management can sometimes be a solitary role within an organisation, and our Forums are a great way to meet other people who are doing a similar role to you and reduce any sense of isolation you may have. There's also the chance to network (usually both formally and informally), catch up with changes happening in the field, discuss issues you may have and ask questions of the guest speaker and FVA staff who will be in attendance. And a free breakfast roll is on offer to make the time away from your desk all the more worthwhile!
Our topic this time will be about support - what do you need to be effective in your role?; where do you/can you get this from? what can FVA do to help you with this?
You will have the chance to share your knowledge so do have a think in advance of a skill/experience/area of knowledge that you would be willing to share and the same for where you need help. We'll facilitate an exchange so that you have resources to take away and follow up on. These events are often popular so get booking now!
