When: 1.00pm-3.00pm, Friday 27 April 2018 Where: Dunfermline Carnegie Library and Galleries, 1-7 Abbot Street, Dunfermline, KY12 7NW This event is being organised by Dunfermline Heritage Partnership
It is too late to book a place for this particular session, sorry about that.
The Dunfermline Heritage Partnership has secured funding of over £300,000 from the Heritage Lottery Fund and the Scottish Government to use Dunfermline’s heritage to aid future growth. The total funding package, including partner contributions, amounts to £444,410 which will be delivered over 3 years.
One of the first in a series of exciting projects being funded during the three-year programme is DesignDunfermline 2018 – a series of public events over four days at the end of April.
The local community - with the help of a team including facilitators, urban designers, architects, landscape architects and transport consultants - will create a design led solution for the regeneration of Dunfermline town centre. Amongst other things, they’ll be asking how Dunfermline’s heritage can inspire and make it:
a town centre for all
a well connected town centre
a town centre for living in
a town centre where enterprise can thrive
a great town to visit
Everyone is invited to drop in to one or more sessions, or the whole series of events. They’d love to include your thoughts on what you’d like to see from your town centre over the next ten years.
The report and plan will be published in Summer 2018.
It's free! Tell us about your event, news, training, vacancy etc. by completing a short form and we'll add it to our e-bulletins and website - accessed by thousands of people every month.
