  • Delivering Differently final report launched at the Joint Mental Health and Employability Forum yesterday

    Created: 5/16/2019

FVA launched the Delivering Differently final report in front of a cross-sector audience yesterday at a successful event in Rothes Halls with over 160 people in the room. Feedback on the event has been overwhelmingly positive. Delivering Differently is a joint project between Fife's Health and Social Care Partnership, Fife Voluntary Action and Opportunities Fife following on a great tradition in Fife of partnership working.

During the event Michael Kellet, Director of Health and Social Care in Fife and Gordon Mole, Chief Officer for Business and Employability, Fife Council answered audiences questions and agreed that it was unacceptable that around 40% of benefit claimants in Fife are reported as having a long term Mental Health condition and that the Mental Health agenda was hugely important.

The findings of the report highlight work to be progressed in the coming years at the individual, service and employer levels that would improve support delivered in Fife.

The Delivering Differently team have been awarded a further £25k of funding from See Me Scotland to grow key strands of work including working with employers and growing the voice of experience.

The Joint Oversight Board will continue and the project will also report to the Health and Disability Delivery Group (H&DDG).

The report and annexes can be found here
