Legal, Privacy and Cookie Information

  • Your privacy is important to us. We use Google Analytics to tell us about how our website gets used and some people may be able to be identified from this. We do not seek to identify anybody in this way but the Google system may allow identification to take place. To find out more about Google's Privacy Policy and what they do with data please see: Google Analytics Privacy Policy

The only time we collect personal information is when we ask users to complete forms/text boxes etc. for the purposes of submitting feedback, accessing a service we provide or similar. So, the only other personal data we collect in our website is through forms which you would optionally complete and choose to submit to us. On those pages we clearly explain what personal data we collect and what we do with it. We do not collect any personal data from users of this website without your permission.

We do not use any other cookies or any other code to capture information without your knowledge.

Any personal information supplied to Fife Voluntary action through this website will not be published or given to any other person or agency without the user's prior permission. We may share relevant personal information (name and contact information) for the purposes of delivering services that you sign up for - but only for the reasons that you have contacted us for. For example, if you sign up for a training session we will share your contact information where the session is being delivered in partnership, or by another organisation.

We will never add your details to a mailing list without your express, prior permission.

    Cookies
Our website uses 6 cookies. A cookie is a small file of letters and numbers that we put on your computer if you agree. These cookies allow us to distinguish you from other users of the website which helps us to improve our site. We do not collect personal information about our visitors but it may be possible for some people to be identified through online identifiers like your computer's internet protocol (IP) address. FVA does not collect this data or use this data, but the Google Analytics system does collect that data and Google does process it. To find out more about Google's Privacy Policy and what they do with data please see: Google Analytics Privacy Policy

So, the only cookies we use are 'analytical' cookies. They allow us to recognise and count the number of visitors and to see how visitors move around the site when they're using it. This helps us to improve the way our website works, for example by making sure users are finding what they need easily.

We do not collect information about users other than the standard information collected by Google Analytics. Google Analytics is one of the most popular web page analysis tools in the world, used on millions of websites. Read more about the individual analytical cookies we use and how to recognise them: Google Analytics information page.
