Bairns Come First - Workshop on results from Child Maintenance Survey -17 January
Created: 10/11/2022, Updated: 12/2/2022Fife Gingerbread has been working with the Poverty Alliance to explore how the challenges connected to successfully claiming child maintenance have changed for lone parents over recent years. As we recover from the pandemic and face a cost of living crisis, the importance of child maintenance has increased.
Following Fife Gingerbread's launch of its most recent round of child maintenance research, an online workshop wil lbe held on Tuesday 17 January 2023 to share the findings of the survey so far and shape the recommendations of the research o find out what could be done differently and better as a collective.

To date, Fife Gingerbread has received 270 responses to its survey and will be completing 1:1 interviews with lone parents to hear about their experiences.
Fife Gingerbread will identify opportunities and levers within the current Child Maintenance system to help more lone parents successfully claim child maintenance, shifting perception of this important income and framing it as a Children’s Rights issue.
