Family Fund
Created: 11/17/2022, Updated: 11/17/2022Family Fund, the UK’s largest charity providing grants and information to families raising disabled and seriously ill children and young people on a low income.
Their Cost of caring report shows how hard families caring for disabled and seriously ill children have been hit by the rising cost of living. Family Fund are here to help and want to make sure families are aware of the support we can provide at this difficult time.
The Family Fund main grant scheme provides grants to parents or carers on a low income with disabled or seriously ill children aged 0-17. They can supply essential items such as children’s clothing; white goods such as a cooker, fridge or freezer; sensory or specialist play equipment or technology, and assistance with family breaks. Families can find out more about Family Fund, and apply, by visiting their grants page.
The Your Opportunity programme provides grants for families raising disabled young people aged 18-24 who are living at home. The programme funds a range of grants aimed at reducing the barriers faced by disabled young adults, including laptops and tablets, transport costs, vocational training, leisure and sport activities and much more.
