    FVA lunchtime learning sessions are aimed at raising the skills and capacities of local service providers interested in improving or enhancing their provision in Fife.

    PLEASE NOTE:

    This is a very popular workshop that is being delivered and is always oversubscribed. We still have a waiting list for this workshop, so if you have booked but subsequently cannot attend, could you please e-mail the course deliverer Eddie Martin at [email protected] or the FVA Employability Development Officer Sandy Mackenzie at [email protected] as we will then be able to offer the space to another candidate.

    **This session has limited places, so book early to avoid disappointment**

    This Ask...Tell session will raise awareness and have facilitated discussion around the 3 Ask…Tell educational animations which highlight areas such as mental wellbeing, suicide prevention and having compassionate conversations with people who are experiencing mental distress or may be feeling suicidal.

    By the end of this 1.5hr session participants will:

    • Understand what we mean when we talk about mental health and the prevalence of mental health problems;
    • Be able to identify different ways to support people to have good mental health, including their own;
    • Have an awareness of situations that can negatively affect mental health;
    • Have and understanding of the issues that can affect people accessing support for their mental health;
    • Have increased awareness of the prevalence of suicide and risks of re-attempt;
    • Know what to do when they are worried about someone’s mental health.

    These sessions are or anyone who is working in any frontline services and wishes to improve their skills in mental health and suicide awareness.
