    About the organisation

Kingdom Housing Association provides housing and support throughout east central Scotland. The Kingdom Works Service aims to raise the employability skills of unemployed Fife residents. It offers clients tailored support to find suitable routes into employment and training, including career information, advice and guidance. It also works with a range of employers to develop customised packages to suit their business needs in order to recruit and train individuals.

    About the role

The Employability Officer will contribute to raising the employability skills of unemployed residents of Fife who are seeking to enter or re-enter employment or training opportunities. You will provide a range of advice and guidance to clients and liaise with employers and training providers on behalf of them to identify opportunities to help them progress towards employment. You will work with a range of partners within Fife ETC (Fife Employment and Training Consortium) and the Opportunities Fife Partnership.

    About You

You should have relevant experience working in employability support, with good knowledge and understanding of the range of issues and barriers unemployed clients face. You should have up-to-date knowledge of employability funding sources and compliance conditions, as well as good interpersonal skills and the ability to develop strong relationships with employers and external agencies.

You will need to have a driving licence and access to a car for business use. You will be required to complete a satisfactory Basic Police Act Disclosure Scotland check.

Kingdom Housing Association is committed to contributing towards the eradication of homelessness. It particularly welcomes applications from people who are currently registered homeless or have been in the last 12 months. It will guarantee shortlisting to any applicant who meets that criterion and the essential criteria for the vacancy. If you are offered the role and you are homeless at that point, it will also offer you a tenancy in one of its properties as part of the Naumann Initiative.
